Slammed again by Rock 100.5

Easter weekend in Atlanta is Frolicon Weekend.  Frolicon is an alternative convention which celebrates BDSM and Kink along with Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

Over the past few years, they have been very friendly with the Atlanta Furry community, and have offered a panel where well respected members of the Atlanta Furry community come and explain what furry is.  During those panels, it is made clear that while some people bring a fetish aspect to Furry, that it is not all about sex.

Well, the “Regular Guys” did it again. Just like with their “Undercover” bit on Furry Weekend Atlanta, they had one of their people “Seabaz” go to the convention where he recorded audio and took photographs. During the replay of this, it pointed out that the same furries that were pissed at them for breaking in to Furry Weekend Atlanta were hosting the Furry Panel at Frolicon.

Remind me again why we’re paying any attention to these idiots? Isn’t that EXACTLY what they want?

    • The regular guys are shock jocks, their only purpose is to make people mad so they’ll tune in and listen. You’re right, the best thing we can do is change our radio dials to 96.1, those guys actually said that the con was good for Atlanta’s economy.

    • Agreed, and it’s not like they really got into furries that much this time anyways. They mentioned them made a few stupid comments and moved on big whoop.

I think one though needs to take his own advice though. He said something along the lines of if it happens behind closed doors who cares. (Answer he does because that’s how he gets paid)

  2. Don’t really know what to say to any of this. All it is, is them telling us what goes on at the convention and them reacting to it. Who gives a shit, it’s either funny to you or not. Or it’s either intriguing, arousing, or disgusting.

They are just pointing out things what the mainstream populous is not aware of, and never cared to be aware of.

It’s all about amusement, grow some tough skin, there is nothing ‘wrong’ about what goes on there. I never understand why people give into feelings of shame so easily, like society trains us into thinking you can do it but you HAVE to be ashamed about it. What the hell do they mean by ‘sex pervert’ anyways? Does that make you a danger to society? Does satan rise to power and murders god? I thought a pervert was someone who gawks, spies, or invades a person’s space against their will.
And to anyone that doesn’t have anything better to do and truly believes this stuff is “evil” (These radio jocks may have their opinion but I’m sure they don’t care anything beyond making a good show) just remember society helps create such people in the first place.

“What It Means To Be A Furry?” That’s what they’re advertising our kind as? Have I been going to the wrong conventions for that answer? Seriously, y’all just hand them the ammunition.

Okay… There shock jocks, they do this to EVERYONE just listen to the show, and there funny. People who worry about what others think of furries are either children or very immature adults. Stop taking this all so serous. The majority of you will out grow this fandom by the time your 30 anyway.

Haha hilarious. They do their job well as radio show hosts. Radio shows like this are not about accurate information, they’re just about being weird, especially on a rock station.
